can we cancel the coronavirus?

If you compare Coronavirus deaths to like TB or whatever, it's really not a big deal. No deaths in Scotland in about 6 weeks and very few deaths per 100,000 people in England. At this point it just feels like a giant wealth transfer (since the FED printed all that money in the US) and assets could be bought on the cheap.

So can we cancel it all now? No more lines and all that. Everyone can calm down. As far as plagues go, the coronavirus was mostly bark, very little bite. Considering the hygiene of the public at large, if it was as contagious as it has been described, everyone who has been to a supermarket would have caught it by now. But that's not what has happened.

This. Absolutely over it all now. So done with rules and regulations, all my plans being postponed, not being able to do what I love with no sign of when it might come back. But most of all I am completely and utterly done with social distancing!
BittersweetMemories · 28/08/2020 18:19

100% agree.

Unfortunately most people seem to revelling in THE ROOLZ

RoseCider · 28/08/2020 18:22

No deaths in Scotland in about 6 weeks

This is wrong there have been deaths in the past few days.

emptyplinth · 28/08/2020 18:23

Well said.

BillywilliamV · 28/08/2020 18:25

How many deaths then? Maybe in comparison with the whole population of Scotland!

Sure if the very little bark can bring back my cousin and lovely uncle who were killed by it (and the other 41+k)

HeresMe · 28/08/2020 18:34

Some people love the rules and snitching telling others what to do, I think it's like a weird fetish or something.

I've no idea what nonsense you're rambling about. Neither do you.

@2bazookas

I think the OP enjoys a bit of trolling, going by their posting history. Grin

These threads are good at showing up who the utterly heartless posters are.

elmouno · 28/08/2020 19:02

@2bazookas

It was an excuse to cover for the fact that countries went broke, while trillions were given away to the richest. At this point the financial system is so f'ed globally, that they are steering towards a "great reset". This was already tabled at the World Economic Forum. Do your research.

Sorry to hear this

Where's me shovel and I dig up my all my family and friends and tell them that it's no big deal that they died, the virus was no big deal, that there some numpty trump wannabe on mums net.

I seriously hope none of your family get this virus and die, because you'll then be whinging on here with grief, you won't be spouting your shite about it being no big deal.

MadameBlobby · 28/08/2020 19:42

There were 2 deaths announced in Scotland if people who had tested positive in the previous 28 days this week.

Whilst the situ has improved a lot since March we can’t sadly just go back to normal, I wish more than anything that we could.

MoggyP · 28/08/2020 19:47

Europe is essentially in the same situation it was in February - virus here, some community transmission, cases rises, sineareas at significant concern.

Now do we want to avert dangerously rapid growth in case numbers or not? Bearing in mind that even a low %age of serious cases is still a fuck if a lot of real people

elmouno · 28/08/2020 19:51

You would test positive for "Coronavirus" even if you had the cold version of "Coronavirus". In these instances many have been labelled as having died with "Coronavirus". I'm not doubting the virus, but it has been blown way out of proportion (to be taken advantage of by disaster capitalists) and now many of the measures are pretty much a piss take.

OP posts:
Pootle40 · 28/08/2020 19:52

@MadameBlobby that's the thing though we don't know what killed these people or when they died?! They are people who have died with a positive test in the last 28 days whose death was registered. Certainly doesn't suggest anything about not being able to go back to normal really....

I keep seeing this bollocks about the cold. How does it explain people with colds getting tested because they have one of the symptoms and testing negative for Covid? I’m all ears.

Why am I wasting my time when this is clearly a shit stirring post

I know, I was just pointing out the OP was incorrect as deaths have been announced. Who knows where they got it or if the main cause of death was something else, rightly that’s private

Sorry to hear that but also what about a family member who cancer is terminal now due to appointment being cancelled because of the virus and the 15 year old locally who committed suicide

I am sorry to hear iof your loss though

elmouno · 28/08/2020 20:00

@MadameBlobby honestly I'm not trying to offend, colds are caused by more than just the coronavirus. They are also rhinovirus. If someone died from a heart attack, but also had a cold which triggered a positive Coronavirus reaction, it could have been the cold coronavirus we have known for years before 2020. But that individual would have died from the heart attack, in reality. The statistics would say it was the coronavirus.

OLGADEEPOLGA · 28/08/2020 20:01

100% agree OP but some people seem to be enjoying the rules and loving their masks so will be devastated they will no longer have to wear them or stand on arrows in shops.

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 28/08/2020 20:01

This is nonsense. Why are you spreading lies?
