can we cancel the coronavirus?

If you compare Coronavirus deaths to like TB or whatever, it's really not a big deal. No deaths in Scotland in about 6 weeks and very few deaths per 100,000 people in England. At this point it just feels like a giant wealth transfer (since the FED printed all that money in the US) and assets could be bought on the cheap.

So can we cancel it all now? No more lines and all that. Everyone can calm down. As far as plagues go, the coronavirus was mostly bark, very little bite. Considering the hygiene of the public at large, if it was as contagious as it has been described, everyone who has been to a supermarket would have caught it by now. But that's not what has happened.

Covid 19 has never been flagged in the news as particularly lethal. Early estimates I remember was about 1% of the population which is far lower than Sara or need. Lots of factors come into it but the overall infection fatality rate is less than this when you take asymptotic infection in not account. Over the entire population 200k to 500k were widely quoted numbers.

It not even particularly contagious either with the r number before lockdown around 3. But the nature of exponential growth is peak cases etc were doubling every 4 days so the numbers in hospital would have been unmanageable if we had delayed much longer. People were already staying home and cancelling events before the government told them to.

It also seems that aerosol transmission is the biggest factor rather than touching infected surfaces. There was nothing else we could be told to do in early march since do much was unknown and supplies of face masks were low.

Breathing in virus laden droplets from people who probably don't know they are infected is the main form of transmission mostly indoors and especially with low ventilation and at low temperatures. Washing hands doesn't help this

You only have to look at empirical data where outbreaks happen and what happened in other countries to realise what can happen when people tell themselves it's not real, because everyone would have caught it by now etc, or its mutated to a safe form. It might even be that people get lower doses now which is helping the death rate. We are entering a crucial couple of months and now is not the time to tell people that if they really really think about it it's all a global over reaction.

elmouno · 29/08/2020 15:22

Still by your logic, should we not have seen a spike in deaths/infection just by people being in close proximity without masks, talking and in cafés or restaurants? Again, it has not happened. And if it's not particularly lethal or infectious, why are we letting the global economies get completely destroyed? Perhaps that was the intention all along.

Could you please spell out who it is you think benefits from completely destroying the world's economies, and how they have managed to get the world's governments to go along with it?

elmouno · 29/08/2020 15:31

I have already posted the globalists plan for the great reset. This gives them the excuse. So they suck the world dry financially, destroy the system, and now can reset it all back to 0 with a new financial system and a joke untested vaccine that will do unknown harm to masses of people who don't know any better all while they get to know your whereabouts at all time like a chipped dog.

No thanks.

"Still by your logic, should we not have seen a spike in deaths/infection just by people being in close proximity without masks, talking and in cafés or restaurants".

We have seen a spike in infections. We have yet to see the same j. Hospitalisation with lower age infections , reduced viral loads higher vitamin d levels all given as possible reasons. A month ago Spain and France were in a similar position and their deaths are now rising. The same thing happened in Florida. Big spike in infections but deaths and hospitalisations didn't change until community infections spread to older age groups some 5 or 6 weeks later. Like ive said before when I get a sensible reason why we will be different from them I'll start to believe we can relax.

walksen · 29/08/2020 15:38

"with a new financial system"

Since 99% of people are screwed over by the old one that might be a good thing!

Couldn’t agree more. It’s tragic that people have died from this horrible virus but enough is enough. I think the news said the other day seasonal flu deaths have now taken over Covid deaths.

So how do you want to play this ? Cancel all preventative actions and let the virus loose again?

How do you plan to ration nhs resource? No admission without a negative test ?

Have you got shares in the funeral trade?

Oh this crops up on every thread.

The only reason we haven't had HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of covid deaths is distancing.

Hopefully the poster who knows how the flu deaths are measured will post soon. I never remember it right.

But who are ‘the globalists’? And how do you think they are going to microchip us? And why?

Of course it is good to ask questions and challenge authorities, but maybe keep asking those questions when someone claims they’ve discovered the real (secret evil) plan?

CrunchyCarrot · 29/08/2020 16:38

all while they get to know your whereabouts at all time like a chipped dog.

Chipped dogs can't be tracked. To track an animal you need them to wear a tracker on a collar. The type of chip used that is injected isn't a tracker, it's simply an ID number that can be read by a reader, that's it.

'They' already know your whereabouts pretty accurately via credit card use. I suppose you don't use one. And where you live via community charge. But I guess you don't live in a regular house.

CrunchyCarrot · 29/08/2020 16:39

I forgot to add, and via GPS on your smartphone. But I guess you don't own one.

elmouno · 29/08/2020 16:47

Why are you guys acting like the world economic forum is a conspiracist's fantasy?

It's right there in the first few lines

There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative.

OMFG the technology simply doesn't exist to get a microchip small enough to be invisible and pass through a vaccine needle, "they" already know where you are and what you're doing through mobile phones, loyalty cards, credit and debit cards and every financial transaction you make, why bother spending billions chipping everyone when "they" know everything about you already.

yahoosername · 29/08/2020 16:53

"colds are caused by more than just the coronavirus. They are also rhinovirus. If someone died from a heart attack, but also had a cold which triggered a positive Coronavirus reaction, it could have been the cold coronavirus we have known for years before 2020. But that individual would have died from the heart attack, in reality. The statistics would say it was the coronavirus."

😂😂😂😂 ok, utter nonsense.

latticechaos · 29/08/2020 16:54

No one ever answers why would they microchip us? What's the point?

I almost responded to this thread, until I recalled the definition of a gish gallop:

The Gish gallop is a technique used during debating that focuses on overwhelming an opponent with as many arguments as possible, without regard for accuracy or strength of the arguments.

CoffeeandCroissant · 29/08/2020 16:59

@CrunchyCarrot

And the national Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system for anyone who owns a car.

GoldenOmber · 29/08/2020 17:00

How do you get from “build a new social contract that honours the dignity of every human being“ to “they’ve invented the coronavirus so they can microchip us all”? Walk us through the steps.

@CoffeeandCroissant
Nah OP doesn't have
A car
A mortgage
A debit or credit card
A mobile etc
Cos you know "they" will be tracking them🤯

Nellodee · 29/08/2020 17:04

There was a sci-fi novel I vaguely recall, where to discredit a true rumour, the propaganda unit of the government would release it themselves, buried in a dozen untrue rumours.

I read this, and think of Cummings et al's love of disaster capitalism, and I wonder if I am recalling fact or fiction.

elmouno · 29/08/2020 17:06

How do you get from "we want to flatten the curve" to "everyone go fuck yourselves we are never going to end this"?
