People in Birmingham to be asked to restrict home visitors to two people

Part of a 'voluntary' attempt to prevent a lockdown there. Sounds sensible to me, and designed to prevent gatherings of large, intergenerational households, without overtly singling out certain ethnic communities.

Why couldn’t they have done this in the North West where I am? Instead of saying we can’t hsve any indoor visitors or garden visitors.

Thing is though, who is asking and where? I live in Birmingham and have seen hardly anything about this, except for when I have gone looking for the information. I imagine it could easily pass people by. There needs to be a way to get the information to more people and earlier.

That's not too bad - maybe they are just trying to stop house 'parties' eventually we're all gonna be back n lockdown aren't we? I thought things were gong to get better but 'm being a Debbie Downer tonight.

@Redolent @ACautionaryTale Except evidence states more than half of cases in the last week in Birmingham have been within the 18-34 age demographic. This demographic isn’t inter generational households Hmm So, literally, irrelevant points made regarding ethnicity 🤦🏻‍♀️
