Hello all,

Does everyone who catches Covid loose their sense of taste and smell? Have any of you had a COVID test come back positive without loosing taste and smell?

Not myself but my best friend tested positive with just a temperature. She never lost her sense of smell of taste throughout her illness. My other friend lost her sense of smell and taste for a month and had a persistent cough.

Me.Positive test but I was entirely asymptomatic and my sense of taste and smell remained fully present.

I lost my appetite for a few days during the first week. I'm not sure if I also lost my sense of taste becauseIwas hardly eating. But I tested positive 8 weeks later ill and during that period my appetite was normal.

@Vanillaradio how come you ended up getting tested?

@AnyFucker what symptoms did you have?

MrsBennetsnerves · 20/08/2020 11:21

Can't edit typos on tablet, but you get the gist.

My symptoms were fatigue and muscle aches. Nothing else.

A friend of mine (in another county) is tested frequently as she works in a care home. She tested positive recently and was completely asymptomatic. She had no idea!

Dh had symptoms (cough only) and had been in passing contact with someone who tested positive. He tested negative, me positive. Still not sure how that worked!
