Easyjet flights to quarantined countries

I’ve had such a shitty year and having cancelled my original holiday in August, decided last week to take the kids away for a few days the first week of September.

I booked flights to croatia with easyjet, and of course now the government are talking about imposing a quarantine there (announcement to be made tomorrow). Which means we won’t be able to go as they’d miss 2 weeks of school.

I was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation with no longer being able to travel due to quarantine rules to other countries such as France where the rules have already been imposed? And what has easyjet done, if anything? Or have you just lost your money on the flights? At the moment I can change my flights but pay more than the flights originally cost for the privilege.

We were allowed to rebook paying any fees but the new flights were more expensive, despite being a year away, so it did cost money. They said you could have a voucher instead but you had to phone and we couldn't get through to the call centre.

This was for France.

I had exactly the same experience as Pulcino with EasyJet flights to Spain. It did take a few days before EasyJet changed their website to not make charges as flights were less than 14 days ahead. I think announcement was Saturday and the changes showed Tuesday or Wednesday.
