Anyone in Italy/travelled into Italy?

We have a holiday that was booked last year to Sorrento/Amalfi and was planning on still traveling, we're both fit and healthy and the government advice is that British people can still travel into Italy without entry requirements.

Some people will disagree and that's fine but for us the risk outweighs missing out on a holiday we've worked so hard for. I'll lose £1.5k for accomodation and flights if we cancel.

We've just read that masks have been made mandatory in public spaces and bars/night clubs have been closed.

Is anyone in Italy or travelled there and can give me some guidance? Smile

We are hopefully travelling to Italy next week so can't advise much other than to pop over to the trip adviser forums as I have found them quite useful

We're going on Sunday. I'm pretty well read on the whole situation, what is it you want to know?
Masks aren't mandatory in all public spaces per se, they are between 6pm and 6am where social distancing isn't possible. Take one to restaurants as you will be expected to wear it when you are not sat at your table.

I'm in Italy.

The rules were tweaked just last night about masks. We'd stopped having to wear them in the open but now after a rise in infections over the past week (almost all bought in from Italians holidaying abroad) they've been reintroduced "outside in situations where SD isn't possible". From 6pm to 6am.

Nightclubs have been closed (they've been open since July)

Bars have not been closed, everything apart from nightclubs is open.

You'll be expected to wear masks in most shops etc. Restaurants should (all the ones I've been in since June) be taking your temp when you go in and will ask you to fill in your contact details.
