Could anyone who has had it or know anyone who has had it tell me their hopefully reassuring experiences please?

I’m so worried, especially as my elderly parents visited us today (before the cough started later)

do you suffer with health anxiety normally?
Yes I have terrible anxiety generally

Would you be freaking out if your OH got a cold & a cough normally?
Or even if he had flu?
I would.

@Borderstotheleftofme I hope your DH is OK.
Have you seen anyone about your anxiety? It is not healthy to be worrying about a cold.

Coming in waves is a very COVID thing tbh. 1day better, next worse, rinse and repeat. What you need to watch out for is a deterioration at the end of the first week. Do you have a pulse oximeter? If not, get one.

My next door neighbour tested positive and it was fairly mild for her. A mild cough and slight fever, felt generally run down and tired. But not bed ridden.... she was pottering about round the house still.

Because for most people, Corona is no worse than a really bad cold or flu.

I do wonder, when people say this, if they've ever had a terrible dose of proper flu? Because I have had flu just once in my life, and I hope to never ever have it again. I thought I was dying. Flu also resulted in my father having a heart condition.

Fact-check

Flu is NOT killing more people than coronavirus.
