Hi all,

I started a new job 1.5weeks ago, customer facing, no way to work from home. This morning 1yr old woke up with a high fever. Have had to stay home and take care of them. According to NHS website I should now order a test kit for us both and self isolate until results come.

Now I'm panicked work are going to fire me for this. I know legally they can't fire an employee for Coronavirus, but in probation period they can just say it's not working out can't they?

I understand the importance of not spreading anything, but the thought of losing my job at what could just be some bad teething or something is horrific Sad

Do you drive? It’s much quicker to get a drive through test, you can usually book a slot for the same day and results generally come back within 24 hours or so, especially if you get an earlier slot.
