COVID anxiety awaiting results

I should first state that I do suffer with anxiety generally anyway.

Over the last 24 hours I have been having some symptoms (no doubt also accelerated by my anxiety) so this afternoon I went for a test at the local centre. This will be my third test since June. I am so so so worried.

To be honest I haven't been to many places as I have been wfh, been getting shopping delivered etc. My DP works alone so does not see colleagues either. In the last couple of weeks I have been into a restaurant once where it was very empty, clean etc, the local shop (wearing a mask) and have had my car returned to my house by the garage (mechanic was not wearing mask or gloves annoyingly)

I am winding myself up no doubt but I wonder why the people who have been on holidays, going to busy parties in houses etc aren't worrying like me?!

Hand hold, please.

Offering a hand hold. I suffer with health related anxiety too. Remember there are still lots of other bugs going around and it sounds like you’ve been really careful which makes it unlikely. There was a good thread yesterday about people who had had mild cases of coronavirus which helped to remind me that not all cases are as bad as those publicised in the media. As you’ve said your anxiety is likely to be making you feel worse and causing some of the symptoms you’re feeling too. Deep breaths. Hope you get some rest and your results return quickly.

Hope you’re doing ok. Have you had your results back? X
