Do you think facial treatments will actually resume on August 15th?

Or be pushed back again? My eyebrows now have a life of their own. 😂

I have cut a fringe in to hide mine 😂

Qasd · 01/08/2020 12:00

Unlikely given school reopening seems now to be at risk!

WrongKindOfFace · 01/08/2020 12:01

Who knows? I hope so though. My eyebrows now have their own postcode.

Yep, I do feel for the people who through they’d be returning to work today.

I thought facial treatments were allowed from 1st august?

mum2jakie · 01/08/2020 14:25

They've been postponed from announcement yesterday @userxx

userxx · 01/08/2020 14:29

@mum2jakie Noooooo!!! How many times are the salons having to re-gig appointments, they must be pulling their hair out. So frustrating for the industry.

Pomegranatepompom · 01/08/2020 14:30

Desperate need of eyebrow help. Did have a Pedi this morning and tipped well. So sorry for all the beauty therapists.

Tootsey11 · 01/08/2020 14:45

Maybe it's just me, but surely there are more important things to worry about than bloody eyebrows.

Have you ever thought that maybe people have been looking forward to doing something normal? I presume you don't care about people working in the beauty industry either who've had to cancel appointments and risk losing their livelihood. It's not just about 'bloody eyebrows'.
babylukesmum · 01/08/2020 14:58

I'm sure my beauty therapist would really appreciate your attitude, considering her business is solely based on eyebrows/eyelashes and she hasn't been able to work to provide for her family for 5 months.

I changed mine to a manicure instead, I felt guilty cancelling completely even thought it wasn't my fault.

Fuck no.

Tootsey11 · 01/08/2020 20:14

Do your own?

Ohchristmastreeohchristmastree · 01/08/2020 20:15

I feel for the beauty therapist.

But if they can’t open now, I don’t see what might change to let them open in two weeks. Unless the mask wearing benefits kick in.

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 01/08/2020 20:23

My poor microblading beautician has had to cancel me again. She said howcome men can have their beards trimmed?

Triangularbubble · 01/08/2020 20:26

No. I don’t think anything else significant will open unless/until schools are open and cases are still low and stable. If anything I think more will shut and restrictions will tighten.

babylukesmum · 01/08/2020 21:23

I'm not convinced about the 15th either :( but more than happy to be wrong!
