Herman Cain dies of covid-19

Sad for him to die.

Sad for so many to die due to the slow-motion of idiocy of the Republican party (for which he was 2012 Presidential candidate) in the US.

It seems so much worse for the US to be still piling up bodies, while in the UK we have cut the death rate by at least 90% from the peak, the US is around half their peak and rising.

Eh more like 97%.

He made a point of not wearing a mask, and may have caught it at a Trump rally.

Cain was personally likeable -- actually had some charm. I imagine I would have preferred him to Pres Trump (easily). So I feel sad. Pointless premature death.

A lot of loud covid-deniers have been going down with covid. A (former?) Trump supporting Texan activist is now campaigning actively and hard to encourage people to accept that the virus is dangerous after all.
