Long shot but has anyone gone to Jersey recently ?

Has anyone been to Jersey in the weeks since it opened?

We are flying in as couldn't get a ferry and would be grateful if anyone could tell about how the testing at the airport works. For example are there massive queues? Do you do it yourself? How long before you got your results? Where is it done ?

Any information gratefully received. I know it is a long shot.

I live in Jersey . You need to make sure you have filled in the online registration before you travel. The test is done by healthcare people (in booths/ screened off areas I believe. It haven't been there myself) you don't do it yourself. Results currently taking around 28 hours, I have heard, may be quicker by then.

Hope that helps a bit.

@olivo thank you so much. Think it is such a sensible thing to do. Such a lovely place you are so lucky to live there 😀

Yes, very much appreciated living here in lockdown! People seem to think the incoming testing is efficient so fingers crossed for you and have a lovely stay. Do ask if there is anything else I can help with.

We too are thinking of visiting for a few days as we love Jersey. Are the ferries not operating yet?

@olivo thank you so much. I just love Jersey and I am happy they are doing testing. Completely sensible and great your government are protecting everyone.

Ferries are on from UK, reduced capacity I think, and same testing procedures.

Hello from Grouville Olivo! Hope you have a good time here happilybemused. I know a few people who have had tests done at the airport, apparently it’s quite quick, the longest wait I heard was nearly an hour. Usually quicker than that though. My brother in law looked at getting the ferry here. Was £650 with his car! Very expensive at the moment it seems.

We are going to Jersey on Saturday for a week and can't wait! 😊
