I've looked at the thread about numbers etc in this forum which is great for those like myself who aren't the best at interpreting data or siving through the various news reports. I was wondering how you look up stats for a certain date please as I can't seem to get the alpha/ beta site to do this and haven't been writing them daily. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

I just put in covid data into Google and it takes you straight to the government website which gives you the daily cases figures. They have been steadily increasing again over the last few weeks from 400 per day to mid 700 per day.

The wikipedia pages have numbers by date. You have to click on the month to change it.

@Lifejacket if you go to the "beta" site, select cases, and then where you see United Kingdom use the drop down box to select a region or local authority, and then select the one you want

that brings up the graph, example as below

coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/cases?areaType=ltla&areaName=Adur

there is a down arrow on the right hand side , hover over that and you will see download card data, click on that , select csv and you can open an excel file with showing daily and cumulative cases

boys3 · 26/07/2020 19:30

showing daily and cumulative cases for every day since the first case in whatever area you selected first occurred - so in the Adur example 19th March.

which country are you looking at? Clearly not the UK, or any of the nations within it.

The bulk of UK cases are not surprisingly in England - given 85% of the UK population live there. The lowest 7 day moving average has been 535 and has only dropped beneath 550 or one other occasion. There has been some flatlining for w/e 5th and 12th July and a slight uptake for w/e 19th - slight being about 5% , cases have not increased by 75% as this post suggests.
