GCSEs next year

Just been asked by school to pay in advance for music lessons for next year - even though it does not know 'in what form' these will take place. Ds not really engaging in lessons since they stopped, but lessons are a requirement for the course. He has a processing speed issue and is given extra time. Wondering if they might allow him to drop it as now looking unlikely to pass

Anyone else with GCSE issues? Wonder what will happen with the new guidance

They will be allowed to sing for their practical as it's a solo exam so only two/three people in the room. Singing is absolutely fine at GCSE if students have a voice. In fact, it can be easier for students to do well on the practical as they can often access the higher difficulty stuff.

Singing is fine with mitigation (3 metres away from accompanist, back to back in a large, well ventilated space etc.

Choir singing is not allowed.
