Anyone tested positive for Covid-19 but no fever?

We live in the Middle East, in a country where Covid-19 seems to be rife in the community, even though you wouldn't think it from the falsified statistics.Hmm

We were supposed to be relocating to the UK but the airports were shut until this month. Anyway, DH has developed a very sore throat, headache, tiredness, he coughs up mucus but no fever. Now, I know that Covid-19 is a dry, non-productive cough so it is unlikely to be.
To get tested we would have to go to a special hospital..with loads of other people crammed in a waiting room. So probably if you don't have it when you go in, you will be the time you go out...

I'd really like to hear from anyone that has tested positive and what their first symptoms were. Any other time we'd put it down to being a cold. My 8-year-old has woken up with a sore throat and says the roof of his mouth hurts

I am sure there has been studies that say only about half of people get a fever.

The symptoms seem to range from everything to nothing. It is possible to have Covid without a fever.

I don't know your set up but are there private clinics you could go to for a test where they wouldn't be so busy? In the uk you would now all be asked to self isolate for 14 days.

Lindy2 - Most of the testing is done in Government clinics. I know in the capital Private Doctors have the facilities to do the testing. We would usually see a private doctor but we'll have to do some digging around to see if there is now a private clinic that can do it.
