When does everyone think there will be another local lockdown? They keep mentioning it, but nothing has materialised yet.
@lifesalongsong no I haven't seen any of that to be honest. And that didn't happen at the start anyway. I live in a busy big city, there were never any police out during the start of the lockdown..so I've no reason to believe they are strict now.
You don't have to believe it but eqaully I have no reason to believe the BBC is making it all up

Speaking as someone within the lockdown area @lifesalongsong has it right. All our schools are shut nothing but essential travel shops closed etc. I have tried tweeting to highlight whole city and some county areas included in what is a few localised outbreaks is so detrimental to mental and physical health. Our house is so fed up now I am literally about to have a breakdown our only respite that was getting us through was our holiday and this has never had to be cancelled and we can see no.light at the end of the tunnel.

I just don't see how Leicester's figures are SO bad compared to other areas? They are doing more tests I heavily infected areas and nothing extra on the outskirts where we are. I can't see it being lifted anytime soon and feel like a prisoner watching others enjoy freedom Sad

*had to be cancelled

I know someone who lives in Leicester but is still travelling to work outside the area. He can work from home (and often does) but obviously doesn't think the local lockdown applies to him AngryHmm

This is the sort of thing I mean @0blio
Unless they are manning it like they do in Spain then things will spread. I thought the reasons Leicster had a higher infection rate was due to extended families not following social distancing?

My in laws live by the coast in Spain and they had streams of people arriving from Madrid throughout lockdown. They just took back routes out of the city or left in the middle of the night.
