They really aren't. Certainly not in the U.K. one cock up in India is not representative of every vaccine under development.

I work in the field, believe me, no corners are being cut. Companies are throwing a lot of money and resource at it, and the European Medicines Agency are prioritising COVID activities. We have tight rules and regulations in EU, and from medicines regulatory perspective UK still falls into that bucket.
