www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-53280238 I think this counts - get past the headline! I found it reassuring.

oldbagface · 05/07/2020 15:56

I think it was BBC yesterday. They did a peice on the situation in USA. They said the doctor's were using a combination of drugs anticoagulants, steroids etc and they were having great success. I think they said it was successful in 96% of patients.

Jrobhatch29 · 05/07/2020 16:30

Study in sweden found 30% of a sample had Tcells resistant to Covid. Meaning there was 30% natural immunity or 30% had had covid but fought off with TCells. If true, would either mean many are not suseptible or if they are, lots more people have had it than antibody tests show and the IFR is lower

I went out today and quite enjoyed people keeping 1 metre apart 😂

I saw a similar price on Sky News, it was very reassuring.

Frazzled2207 · 05/07/2020 21:00

if you're into the stats the daily average deaths in the UK (all settings) has just finally fallen below 100 for the first time. Under 40 for hospitals.

thatgingergirl · 05/07/2020 21:21

Those dogs! How marvellous - would almost be worth organising a flight!

onedayinthefuture · 05/07/2020 22:41

@tobee that's very interesting. I keep hearing about anticoagulants.

Orangeblossom78 · 06/07/2020 17:08

www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/

Number of cases in the UK continue to drop from week to week, around 300 today from around 600...was around a thousand a few weeks ago.

The death rate in America does seem to be going down, even though cases are going up.
Dorual · 06/07/2020 23:32

The vaccines are looking promising. That's definitely positive :)
