I have a vested interest being from Melbourne - but I was stunned at the level of detail they have been able to generate. This is for a city of 5 million people with 400 "active" cases.

Our country is doomed when we enter autumn/winter like Australia is now based on the current procedures in place. It is currently not even possible to implement local lockdown in the UK without the agreement of a local official, and apparently it is then just reliant on local people to stay put and not travel. In Australia I hear they woke up in the morning to find police had implemented roadblocks and they were in lockdown. That is very different to Leicester.

The level of detail is amazing. The only drawback I can see is about the data protection issues - are those people's real names? Even right now in the UK, there are too many people infected to be able to publish names even in a local news website/paper let alone a national one. The difference is horrifying actually. The out-of-control situation in the UK doesn't have to be like this. We could be like NZ, Australia, Germany if we had followed their policies from the start. .
