Covid - when will Oxfam etc open to accept donations ?

We, like many families I guess during lockdown, have done big clearout and have lots of clothes in good condition. Normally would go along and donate at local Oxfam, British Heart Foundation etc shops.

Seems likely there’d be alot of poverty now and on the horizon due to the pandemic, so seems good to give as much as we all can and maybe help out families who need to buy from charity shops or who benefit from the sale proceeds.

Can understand that covid means the donations must be handled with care, washed, sterilized etc but surely this is surmountable for big charities and well-run shops?

Do any MNtters know if these are open? Can donations of clothes be made? If so, which charities?

Our local charity shops are open but you have to ring first if you wish to take donations.

Our local charity shops are all back open & taking donations. They’ve been so inundated in the village that they’ve limited drops offs to 9-10am! I drove past this morning & there was a huge queue 🙈
