Really hope I’m making the right decision.

unicornparty · 28/06/2020 09:19

My ds is in year 5, England and going back tomorrow. He's super excited Grin

Lemons1571 · 28/06/2020 09:20

Jealous too.

Alexandernevermind · 28/06/2020 09:21

My childrens' school senior school has been amazing, but I said to the school I would love it if they could just go once a week for half a day for a check in.

ACNH · 28/06/2020 12:17

All my DS is worried about is being in a group of just girls and him 😀

Certainly feels like education is being overlooked by central government at the moment 😕

Education isn’t being overlooked by central government at the moment, it’s been unloved and underfunded for years. It’s only now you’re noticing.

PineappleUpsideDownCake · 28/06/2020 12:21

Too true noble. And then schools being blamed!

Are all years in wales back?

ACNH · 28/06/2020 12:28

Yes all years, I think the minimum is 2 days over the next 4 weeks.

Ours are getting 3 1/2 hours once a week for 3 weeks.
Years 10 and 12 are getting double.

Rates are very low in our county so they’ll definitely go this week and we’ll keep the situation under review.

It’ll be good for them to check in and for school to see if their systems are good enough but I’m dubious that there will be any educational benefit.

I teach year 1. It's been great having children back and despite the different set up they are loving being back! Your DC will be fine.

Mammaaof · 28/06/2020 20:32

Mine isn't going back, not worth the risk for 4 hours a week. Dont want him in that environment it won't be a nice one

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 28/06/2020 20:46

Mine aren't going either, as I'm shielding

CeeJay81 · 28/06/2020 21:24

I'm happy mine are going back. Well my daughter isn't going back till the week after next. The kids days we are getting are over the place lol. They are only getting 4 days(year 6) and 3 days(year 1), none are the same days!

I'm not very worried about the virus though, causee we are in a low risk area. I just hope the kids can still enjoy it with the new rules.
