Do you anticipate people will start their holidays early this year(July 4th) instead of waiting until the official holiday times?

Do you think from the 4th July, lots of people with families will go on holiday/campsites etc or do you think the majority will wait until the summer holiday times. I live in a tourist hotspot and just anticipating what it will he like. I am not complaining by the way, just trying to imagine what it will be like.

Yes totally we have done a few day trips since things began open up, advantage of a school which never really did home schooling is that we have the time. We def will not be the only ones (and am sure why Bournmouth got so busy mid week).

Yes probably. Mine aren't going back to school this term (even though one is in year one) and I can work from anywhere, so we will probably try and at least do some day trips and possibly try and get away somewhere

It may depend on the weather I suppose with regards to campsites etc..

Yes definitely. Lots of requests for annual leave outside of standard holiday times this summer.

Yes, DD is at private secondary so is expected in online lessons for the normal school day but she finishes for summer on 9th July, DS is at state primary and homeschool is set for the week so we can do it as and when and I m self employed and working from home so soon as DD finishes we have theme park days with stay overs, zoo days, National trust days. I booked a U.K. holiday a couple of months ago to replace our cancelled Spain trip for 1st August as we didn’t know what would happen with primary at the time so we ll be sticking to this. If I didn’t have anything booked I d go once DD finished school rather than waiting and I think a lot of people will be, it’s been a miserable few months so people are desperate for some fun and normality 😀

I don't think it's been officially announced yet about the airbridges but a few countries have been named that people travelling from The UK can go to and I believe a few travel agents websites crashed today.

So I do think people will take advantage of the extra long school holidays and I don't blame them.

I'd already booked to go away August, however I am taking advantage and seeing family Sunday to Monday as it was easier to book a hotel that night.

If so, then definitely yes. If I wasn't a teacher I'd be going away asap. I expect schools to be empty! Apart from key worker children whose parents are teachers. I'm only slightly joking. I work in a school with lots of international staff and pupils. If there is an option for them to go 'home', I expect they'll want to take it if at all possible. I mean children/parents. Before things kick off again.

100%. UK holiday destinations will be heaving. And people will be off visiting family members for weekends.

My brother, who is a key worker and super keen on school (kids have been in 3 days a week since closure), is off on holiday a week Monday. Taking the kids out. No fines this year!

I suppose its the only year where people can take their kids easily out of school, dont blame them....I dont know how some of the locals will cope though, constant fb posts about this caravan parking over night or this or that and that they will bring the virus down.
