Just thought i'd put my experience on here. My ds is having a minor op in a couple of days. Both myself and ds needed to be tested for covid today which is our local hospitals new policy. So the test was carried out at a drive thru managed by ambulance service. Amazing lovely ppl i was super nervous i went 1st throat one all ok, nose one i can only compare to having a smear done experience! It made my toes curl and was pretty uncomfortable. My 2yr ds sat on my lap they were super quick (they had to be!) in mouth and up nose with me pinning him down. All in all an ok exp. However im now sat here thinking my dd7 and dd10 if they ever need one (highly likely when school back) the 1st time would be ok, but if they need testing more than once theyd be hysterical. i think alot of parents will experience this too and it will put ppl off going. Which is not good at all. Im keeping everything crossed the new trial saliva test works and they will be able to roll that out.

Very good point, could persuade my 5 year old once maybe...but twice no way! He still goes on about his MMR jab that he had over a year ago!
