If there is a second wave, can you see the population being locked down again? Can you see people conforming a second time?

On that note, I find it rather crazy that schools aren't opening up more now. I've seen plenty of teachers worrying about being in a room with 15 kids, do they really think schools can stay closed until March?

Yes definitely. Part-total-regional-capital-any. Rolling lockdowns have happened in far east.

I honestly don't think anyone in power cares about delayed dental treatment or 20,000 missing nurses in 4 years time if none of the student nurses could actually start their courses this September. The panic is Now, instead. I perceive that support for Lockdown is very strong & most people would support it happening again. MN has been very wrong about many things before. Sometimes this place is a perfect "Opposite Day" barometer for polling.

ps: I don't support Lockdown like we had it, btw, so more madness makes as much sense to me as the first wave of madness.

No and no. The government (and we) can’t afford it. If we can’t work and less tax is generated how do we even pay for the NHS/ schools/ police/ care homes/ prisons?
Localised lock downs possibly?
