Teenagers

Not represented on all the zoom-y corona-y tv ads. Hardly seen. Hardly spoken about unless negatively.
I am really worried about them. I remember being a teenager. Needing independence. Needing social interactions, friends, rebellion, direction and physical intimacy. Finding being with my parents hard at the best of times.
Teenagers are stuck at home with devices and there is almost no risk to their health from coronavirus. And if they are seen out, they are criticised (at least on our local facebook pages).
I feel for teenagers and I wish they could socialise.

I think it's terrible for teenagers. I saw a group hanging out in our local park and thought good for them. Why is it now suddenly fine for them to be locked up indoors plugged into screens?

Disgusting how they have been treated and not a word of fucking thanks from the people they're meant to be protecting.

The people they are fucking protecting are frontline NHS staff, who are perhaps a little busy to make repeated statements of thanks but do occasionally talk/post about the difference the public makes in breaking transmission chains by adhering to social distancing

I’ve seen swarms of teenagers at the park, and out and about!! Kissing, drinking and having fun.
They need a release. They get complained about on local facebook pages but they looked like they were having a great time and If I was a teenager id have been right there with them.

Good for them.

The nightingale hospital was barely used.

A and E departments are quieter apparently
Many outpatient appointments and treatments have been postponed
Not to mention all the fantastic videos on social media of nhs staff performing choreographed dance routines.

I have a teen grandson who should’ve been sitting GCSE’s
He’s home edded and has done one day a week in college . He’s fine but It wouLove been nice to have seen what he could’ve done with an exam
Still no stress there
Other one is 17. He meets pals for footy, just recently since allowed and he’s just gone back to his part time job in mc Donald’s yesterday
He should’ve been having his first driving lesson today ☹️

While they seem to be fine, it’s still a blight on their lives and everyone else’s too

All lives matter.

Teenagers near me are all meeting up and hanging out together anyway
