Hayfever

I don’t want to come across like a total prat but my hayfever is dreadful at the moment and I’m not sure whether to let my boss know or not before I go back to work next week. We have a very detailed risk assessment involving hand washing after any sneeze or blowing nose. And I’m currently sneezing and blowing my nose multiple times per hour as well as having a permanently dripping nose.

I don’t really know what I want them to do about it but wondered if I should inform them that I’m a walking snot machine!

I’m taking tablets and nose spray & will phone gp tomorrow to see if I can get a prescription for fexodenadine.

Fexofenadine works really well in combination with montelukast for us. No symptoms at all (previously extreme).

I think I'm going to have to give up the nasal spray. I've got a dry sore throat today and that's listed as one of the side effects. It doesn't help the pollen count is high here today either so I'm feeling pretty yuck.

I actually did the 111 Covid checker just in case but all is well as I don't have any other symptoms other than the same cough I've had for 3 months!

Told Zoe Covid I had been sneezing with congestion and they suggested I take a test - gulp! No temperature or involuntary coughing though. Should have test in a day or so.

Much improved here-combination of wetter Weather and hopefully the tablets kicking in.
Definitely not symptom free though-still near constant runny nose. Zoe hasn’t suggested a test for me yet!

@Ohnopoo... yes, a much better day, just a couple of sneezes this morning. Still congested though and a bit chesty however the downpour definitely helped to bring down the pollen. Hope you're feeling much better. xx
