Any secondary school teachers

Do you know what "some face to face contact" will look like for years 10 and 12? Does this mean there will be lessons and teaching or more of a check in and chat?
Apologies if this has been asked/discussed already and it's not a teacher bashing question!

I’m a secondary teacher in a state school. We have been teaching live lessons to timetable from the very start of lockdown so we have been told if we go back it will be just to have a progress review with students on a very small scale basis but as I said my students (Years 9, 10 and 12) have been having live teaching, marking to policy and form tutor periods front he start. Not sure what it’ll be like for other schools who have not been doing that.

I work for a MAT. Ours have said that 'face to face' contact could be video calls/catch ups.

Not educational.

Y10 will be getting taught lessons in Maths, English and Science. Everything else will continue via remote learning.

Small groups, completing home learning tasks with feedback to subject teachers by email, 1:1 pastoral check in. Teachers allocated to groups to remain the same and avoid wider contact.

I teach in an independent boarding school and we are not going back this term because of the difficulties of getting our international students back and quarantined for what is only a four week period before we break up for the summer.

However, we have been teaching live lessons to the timetable (including marking and feedback as normal) throughout the lockdown period and all students have had regular contact with their tutors, etc, so we have a very good sense of where they are academically and how they're coping in a pastoral sense.

No idea. At the moment it looks like the focus is on childcare provision for more key workers/vulnerable pupils from all years (we've had low numbers so far), and then reading between the lines of casual conversation with SLT possibly focusing on the year 10s who don't have good tech support at home.

In my school it will be pastoral. But, like a previous poster’s school, we have been teaching a live timetable online since lockdown started.
