6 people- mixed households or one?

So does that mean that it's not strictly for one household to mix with another household?

Can we see my parents one day and my siblings see my parents another day or is it mix household allowed to mix?

I'm confused

You can mix with any households. But members of any one household must stay 2m away from members of any other household. And they said in the press conference that ideally you wouldn't be meeting with people from loads of different households within very short order. So visiting parents for an hour and then going to visit in-laws for an hour and then on to sister for an hour would be over the top, though not against the rules as I understand them. But doing those visits on different days (or ideally even more spaced out) is fine.

Thank you so much, I understand now.

I worry people will get confused between this new rule, and the social bubble idea (where you don't need to socially distance, but can only mix with a strictly limited number of people)

So I can meet up with five friends next week simultaneously, as long as we stay 2m apart?
