I believe so. Once restrictions are eased enough for people to go away on holiday, they don’t want entire departments disappearing for a months holidays at the same time! Which is what would happen if everyone was allowed to carry over a big chunk of last years leave and add it to this years allowance.

Not sure I properly understand the question, but I'm furloughed and my holiday is being 'used' as its accrued.

Ragwort · 28/05/2020 16:26

We are asked to take holiday during furlough & it will be paid at our normal salary rate, it’s to avoid too many people taking holiday when we all return and it’s only pro rata according to the number of days accrued whilst on furlough.

most people are being made to take holiday whilst furloughed

Ragwort · 28/05/2020 16:26

... better than being made redundant which a lot of people are facing Sad

loppylop · 28/05/2020 16:27

We've been told we have to use our holiday as usual & cant roll it over. Makes sense as I have 30 days so taking 50 next year would have a big impact.

Thank you
