When will we be able to hug our families again?

I'm hearing talk of soon being able to meet families outside at a social distance - but when do people think we can just see our family properly? Give them a hug? My mum hold my 1 year old she's not seen in months? I don't want to awkwardly chat across a park! I mean it's better than nothing but, it's just sad

Legally, you will be able to when you're allowed to visit them, likely announced tomorrow / Friday depending where you are. It's guidance not the law.

According to Matt Hancock, ideally not until there's a vaccine. Which is obviously absurd.

I think people need to risk access for themselves and use common sense.

Thank you for your reply. It's all a bit overwhelming!

You assess the risk for yourself and make the decision based on that.

As long as both parties are consenting ;) of course.

Thanks. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they say today/tomorrow
