Are the government providing any support for business to pay people who are self isolating through the track and trace programme?

I haven’t seen any information on this.
If people with no symptoms are being told to isolate and they cannot work from home what happens? Sick pay but they’re not sick? Are companies going to be responsible for paying people while they’re off? Are they just continuing with what they’ve been doing so far if people have had to self isolate? Paying people off sick who aren’t sick for two whole weeks at a time is not going to be great for companies who are just trying to get back up and running? Will there be any government support for this? I haven’t seen this question being asked anywhere yet, I don’t know if anyone has seen this information anywhere?

The success of this will significantly depend on the financial side, someone on full sick pay will be well up for more time off up against those on ssp or nothing who will go to work whatever.

And how will companys cope if loads of people were in contact for more than 15 minutes with a positive test.

Someone needs to ask the question, from a company and employee perspective,but the journolists always seem to miss asking the obvious questions.

Considering they are not paying people who are following the 12 shielding because they are extremely vulnerable, I can't see them paying self isolators.

Imagine, every time you leave the house, you get told to self-isolate. You’ll be sacked.

Im sure the airlines and holiday companies will be positively jubilant at the suggestion of ppl using their annual leave for self isolation.
