Received anketter from school about reopening

Sadly ds is year 3 and dd year 9 so no school for the and they're both desperate to return

• classes of 15 or less

children of key workers kept separate in groups they're already with

• staggered drop off and pick up times
• temperature taken on arrival
• school providing lunch but will be packed lunch style rather than full meal. Eating outside whenever possible

Different entrances designated for each year group ( luckily a school with lots of doors)

• distance learning to continue for all year still at home but minimal provision for those who parents choose not to send back
• no before and after school care except for children of key workers

afternoons will be devoted to sporting activiites

A few other bits but no hint of anyone but nursery, reception, Y1 And Y6 returning this term.

That's because they don't know about other year groups yet. The government haven't even told them if R, 1 and 6 are back on the 1st yet and it's only a week to go.

I thought it was confirmed yesterday? Did I get that wrong?

This is government guideline. Schools don’t have enough teachers and classrooms to open up to all classes even if they wanted to.

We were all set for ds yr 10 to go back on the 1st. School had plan in place, only to be told yesterday that because of the government's announcement it's not going to be until the 15th at the earliest. FFS.

It has. Our school has put out exact instructions about going in, similar to yours. They are also taking Y10 and 12 one day a week - Y10 in three clusters days with each cluster going in one day a week, all of lower sixth going in for their day (not sure if the school will have to push that back a week as they are set to go now).
