Do you think Mary Wakefield's also having an uncomfortable time at work?

If you're going to write "true life" pieces about your family, don't they need to be true or at least not deliberately intended to mislead?

Sorry to sound thick, but did she not hold an editor position at the Spectator? Has she been sacked, because recent articles seem to be basing Cummings and the Tories?

Jonad · 26/05/2020 13:30

yogz the spectator always publish a range of views on an issue. I think there’s for and against articles on the homepage atm.

I don't know lots about her career. But she comes from a very privileged background, so it seems like the kind of non-job privileged people have for the sake of saying they have a job. Write a few little articles now and again, call yourself a journalist. Has anyone read her stuff? Does she have a specialism, other than misleading 'personal experience' columns?

JacobReesMogadishu · 26/05/2020 19:19

I think that @CendrillonSings is saying the spectator is fairly right wing. Not left wing. So maybe won’t care if Cummings other half has embellished stuff. They will love her regardless.

KimchiLaLa · 04/07/2020 23:49

Very much doubt it. She's too well connected for people to give her a hard time - she flies too close to the seat of power
