Do you think it is ok for me to say dc will not be returning on 1 June?

Dd is reception and goes to a private school.
I am not happy to send her on 1 June. I am a natural born worrier (all things anout kawasaki likendiseases, etc.) but then I am also a vulnerable group (not an extremely vulnerable group though) and quite recently was hospitalised and don't think I can take any more illnesses, so just don't want to send dc in in June.
But then the school did not take any survey or asked parents if dc will be in from June. They just said the children have to return on 1 June.

I am not sure if I can choose not to send the child or if the school can take away my dc's place as it's a private school?
I am generally very happy with the school but I don't want to take any risk.

Any advice pls?

I think you absolutely should make your own choice.

Presumably school will still be charging you? If so I can't see how they can take a place away well assuming you pay.

Of course it's Ok. If I still had young children I certainly wouldn't send them back to school so quickly, you won't be alone in your decision but, ultimately, it will be your decision. If you believe you are right, go for it.

Absolutely your right
As long as you are not expecting a further discount than they have offered?
If you have a good rel, drop them a line

Thanks all. I think I will drop an email next week. And yes I have paid her fee for the summer term and I am not going to ask for any refund/discount. I am just not confident enough to send her in. I heard news saying the death/confirmed figures will go down significantly by end of July so I would be more happy to return from September.
