Holiday to France

Before the pandemic kicked off we booked an Air b&b in France for 5 days in mid-July, and paid £500 deposit. They have just emailed us today to say they are looking forward to seeing us and will also be charging us an additional £25 to disinfect the house when we have left. I don't even know whether we will be able to go yet, and so haven't cancelled but I kind of object to them adding a charge after we have paid a deposit. It's only £25 but it's the principle that has got my back up. We don't want to cancel as we would lose all the deposit but equally I don't know if we will be able to go.

I've seen the rules for the gites in France, they have to disinfect and clean all soft furnishings between guests. Quite a few I know aren't even going to reopen it's so complicated. £25 isn't an unreasonable amount
