Well that’s why you can spend the whole day lounging outside if you want to...

I do remember being grateful for the fact lockdown started in early spring, before it got hot. Or my exact words at the time were "be glad this isn't happening in the summer of 2018". It was the only silver lining I could muster.

Urgh. I feel for you. I hate excessive heat at the best of times.

NotAnotherUserNumber · 20/05/2020 22:38

I was thinking the same. It is getting even harder to bear being stuck in my flat as the temperature rises to uncomfortable levels.

Buy a fan? Air con unit? What have you done in your flats in recent years?

Being outside was hot today.

I’m in an attic room. I have bought things to make it cooler. Nothing to do with ‘Boris’

Elmerrrrrrrr · 20/05/2020 22:43

It was hotter outside than in my flat today tbh. V little respite when it gets properly warm.

Helena, as you know, it’s a big problem for me, getting over 35 in that awful heatwave year.

I spent 6 till 8 sitting under a big tree in the park. We’re allowed to do that now, thank goodness. The police and their megaphones are gone.

Do you have a park nearby?

I just really hope they don’t go back to “stay home”.
