Who think the hairdressers will be open 4 July.
Really need my hair doing; it's a mess. I am going to work with it looks a mess, would never let it get like this in normal circumstances.
Really hoping they open soon

No I don’t but my hairdresser has been taking bookings from 04th July so I got myself an appointment in case by some miracle they do 😄 I figure there’s less chances anyone has the virus in the first couple days they open than as lockdown eases!

LaurieFairyCake · 20/05/2020 23:27

Yes, I think definitely

I have an appointment for the 5th in a beauty salon (not hairdresssers)

BatShitCrazyy · 20/05/2020 23:35

That's another thing I'm worried about...getting an appointment. My hairdressers not taking bookings until it's confirmed Shock

I hope so. Another one with an appointment on the 4 July.

cptartapp · 21/05/2020 07:20

I have one on the 4th too. Didn't stop me attacking my fringe with scissors last night.

Shorn on the Fourth of July

I'll get my coat...

Derbygerbil · 21/05/2020 14:46

I think they probably will... but if Covid isn’t in negligible numbers by then, this is one area that probably requires the use of masks. I think hairdressers have been one the very worst affected professions, and it’s easy to see how they could become hubs of infection.

Derbygerbil · 21/05/2020 14:47

Though thinking about it, just the hairdresser... it wouldn’t really work to have a mask on while your hair was being cut!

MabelMoo23 · 21/05/2020 14:56

I’ve got one booked for 11th July so got everything crossed. My roots are a mess

BlueLadybird · 21/05/2020 14:59

@Derbygerbil the salons I’ve seen posting on Facebook have all said customers will need a mask. One that ties round your ears rather than the back of your head should be ok.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 21/05/2020 16:31

I've beeen to the hairdresser last week to get rid of my Shetland pony look (Berlin).
Face masks for me and her, sanitazing hands and wipe down everything afterwards. I book via treatwell, so I am traceable. And despite the mask my hair looks great. (Info on customers is kept for 4 weeks for the health authorities and then destroyed.)

Same for my physio - I went for a massage, she didn't serve tea and chat to make up time for cleaning and to reduce contact, but it worked. I feel much better now and they are earning again.

Vinorosso74 · 21/05/2020 17:25

Mine hasn't confirmed opening then as they don't know they definitely can. Main message was not to do anything they can't fix which I reckon would have to be pretty drastic!
