I don't care about the football. I want my parents and in laws to see their grandchildren.

Friday.

Thewheelsonthebus23 · 20/05/2020 18:00

I also want to know this Sad seems to have been forgotten about

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:04

Ooh what's happening on Friday? I know nextThursdays the deadline for the next review

SnuggyBuggy · 20/05/2020 18:05

This, I can make do without a lot of things we can't do but this is where I'm really struggling

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:06

Yes. I could happily never step foot in garden centre again.
Presumably once restaurants reopen, that will be when, if not sooner. Or are they expecting us to only visit restaurants in a household, or one to one?

What’s happening on Friday?
You can meet one other person outside 2m apart. I met my friend for a coffee the other day - we each brought our flasks and sat 2m apart in the park and it was amazing

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:07

I know but I'm not finding that much help tbh. And for people with smaller children it's an impossibility so must be like rubbing salt in the wound.

TheClitterati · 20/05/2020 18:08

well my nearest and dearest live with older people who are shielding - so not for the forseeable as long as this virus is around. makes me feel so sad

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/05/2020 18:09

I’m seeing my mum for a socially distanced walk at the weekend. How I won’t hug her so hard her head pops off I haven’t yet worked out.

I couldn’t give a shit about ever going to the cinema, a restaurant, the shops etc again. I want to gather my siblings and their families and my parents in one room, share a meal, talk face to face and hug a lot.

It’s hard when you have people geographically close because it seems pointless not to see them, but it’s equally shite when they live far away and it seems impossible we’ll get together properly anytime soon. We’ve got both. It sucks.

Eleanorshellstrop1 · 20/05/2020 18:11

This is all I want to know too. Currently living alone and haven't had a proper conversation in person with anyone for 8 weeks.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:12

My aunt and uncle became grandparents for the first time shortly after the lock down. They've never held their new grandchild.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:13

Eleanor sorry - looked like top trumps!

AmNot please come back

ifonly4 · 20/05/2020 18:27

We obviously can't see those that are shielding/over 75 other than a quick distance chat when dropping off shopping, but I thought we could meet up with one person, that's obviously going to be a friend or family

AmNot · 20/05/2020 18:28

Nothings happening on Friday. All of these threads are just a guessing game so Friday is as valid as any other guess.

Other threads asking this exact question have had people saying Xmas/2021.

It's all pointless speculation and many people ARE seeing their family now regardless of guidelines and a few never stopped..

Thewheelsonthebus23 · 20/05/2020 18:28

Aren’t they doing the two households linking thing soon?

HairyFloppins · 20/05/2020 18:30

People are doing it now. The neighbours have parents in the garden.

May as well just join in.

ZaZathecat · 20/05/2020 18:30

I think AmNot was probs just bein facetious.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:31

I don't know wheels. Where have you heard that?
One on one and outaide only really doesn't help many people. I appreciate it must be helpful if you live alone though.
AmNot I do take your point but isn't it worrying that speculation is all we have? This is a hugely important point and no one is addressing it.

PissOffStayAtHomeDogMum · 20/05/2020 18:32

Oh goodness, OP. Just do it.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:33

HairyFloppins the fines have also risen.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2020 18:35

I'm afraid it's not that easy.

OP posts:
SnuggyBuggy · 20/05/2020 18:43

How much is the fine now?

PowerStruggle · 20/05/2020 18:49

We are allowed to see up to 6 people in our gardens or for walks so long as we socially distance, and can make unlimited journeys so long as we return home at night. So seeing family is possible, just from afar

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 20/05/2020 19:12

On what day did No 10 say we can see people in gardens?
