Are you bored working from home by yourself?

For those of you who are working from home by yourself, either living alone or with your partner at work, are you getting a bit bored?! How do you keep motivated and not get bored of your own company each day?!

I live and work alone, have done for over a year.

I Iisten to podcasts when I need some human voices around. But I'm introverted so generally I'm OK with the numerous meetings during the day and phone calls with family in the evening.

Have you tried the radio maybe?

I have the radio on, and I 'chat' via messenger with other colleagues - sometimes we have a group chat where we have the sort of coffee-machine conversations you'd normally have in the office.

I am used to working from home and prefer it, but I have at least one weekly call with colleagues per week and another two weekly calls with other groups and I have attended online webinars etc. So I am not completely cut off from everyone else.

And I chat on here of course.

Radio is a good idea. The last few weeks my partner has worked from home too and it’s been nice to have the company, from next week I worry I ll be a bit lonely and bored with my own company!

I have the radio on through the day and might put a podcast or something on at some stage or the TV in the background.

When i'm in the office I have the earphones in half the time anyway tbh so not a huge difference.

The thing i'm struggling with in terms of face-to-face is not being able to get that interaction in terms of help with a project/technical support and having to use the messenger service. But when we're back in the office I won't be able to go near anyone anyway due to social distancing.
