Yesterday after lunch my Mil was tested in the care home. Today we phoned at 10am about something else and was told that she was given the all clear.
I thought it took 3 days for the results. Or is it different in care homes.

It varies based on processing centres and how busy they are. Usually a couple of days sometimes quicker, sometimes longer.

If you are worried you have been informed incorrectly, speak to the home manager.

I was tested on Thursday, told it would be 48 hours, heard nothing so phoned our trusts ICC and was told 5-7 days as testing is being outsourced to private labs...

In my hospital it's same day or at least within 24hrs.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 16/05/2020 21:47

24 hours normally at work. We access results online, it's so much quicker than it was.

Depends where you are. 2 hours for patients at the moment.

Imapotato · 16/05/2020 22:10

Last I heard it was 8 hours for patients in our hospital. ( we are quite small and testing is not done on site)

Noidea2114 · 16/05/2020 22:42

It seems as though it is different time in different areas.

Mine took 17 hours. Midlands. Will depend where it's sent
