I can’t recall which MP asked Boris if Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance had approved the change in slogan but Boris waffles and said they had. But it seems that at this evening’s press briefing, both experts seemed to suggest that they had no part in it. Is that right that BJ can mislead Parliament in that way? It doesn’t surprise me but, given how crucial these men are, I wish we had them on board before Boris starts introducing silly, ambiguous slogans.
