Does anyone know if you can travel to Wales from England to provide support for an elderly parent?

Can't find any official info other than it being ok to travel into Wales for a funeral, as long as it doesn't involve extensive travel.

Urgently need to establish what care and support can be provided and for how long.

Should add that DF has just died so it is more support than would be routine

It is in both Welsh and English regulations that you are allowed to go out to provide care and support to a vulnerable peron, so I think that it is fine to do this. Sorry to hear about your DF.

Could you keep a copy of the death certificate in the car with you and then if you get stopped explain the situation? it proves your legit and gives the date etc.

We just went for the funeral as the funeral director could confirm details. A very long day as no overnight allowed.
