Has anyone moved in with grandparents or parents

Hi
Did anyone move in with grandparents / parents at the start of the lockdown?

We were really considering it but didn’t as thought (stupidly) that it was gonna be a short term thing. Now it’s looking to be a very long time until any kind of normal will restart. And my parents and two year old are absolutely desperate to see each other but whilst we’re two separate households etc I just can’t do it.

Just wondering if anyone else had done the same or thinking about it for the future?

Seriously thinking about it but have issues as would only move to his dad and step mum and then his mum and my parents would get annoyed.

3 under 3 and I needed to work from home. Moved my mum in on day 1. I most be the only person in the country with more freedom under lockdown than I had in normal life!

If my DPs were under 60 I would 100% do this. Their health isn't great (often get flu) but if they didn't if already be there!

Both my children, their partners and my two grandchildren moved in with me on the 15th of March. Best decision ever, we’ve had a ball!

Oh gosh amazing thanks everyone. I work in the hospital (in admin do not hugely at risk but still entering the hospital and sitting around others in the office) so I would have to leave my job but tbh we could afford it if we were all living together. So I’d isolate totally for at least 14 days before going up there. It’s my childhood home too I’m missing it so much. Argh the dream...I really hope we can do it.

@LouiseTrees hmm that’s a good point...my husbands mum is a carer so I guess I wouldn’t be able to risk my 2 year old seeing her and then going back to my parents ... ohhh poo
