What are politicians and TV people doing about haircuts etc?

I haven't noticed them looking particularly disheveled. Not Boris, obviously, but many of those men must have monthly haircuts that don't appear to be getting out of control.

Hmm good question! I imagine they have stylists etc who are seen as part of the "essential" team. I've not noticed any overgrown roots or dodgy DIY fringes either.

BoJo bothered to brush his hair (or use a wet comb) before filming yesterday’s broadcast!

I think there are quite a lot of swept back hairdos. As long as you trim your fringe (if you have one) you can go 3 or do months with noone really noticing (esp as everyone is getting that but hairier)

A lockdown flirtation with clippers is bound to get really rather noticeable results

And are they doing their own makeup for the cameras?

I think you're right about women iVampire, but not men with boys' school haircuts

Claudia Winkleman made me smile. She can barely see past her fringe at the best of times, on the Big Night In it was even longer!

inwood · 11/05/2020 09:44

Thomas Schafernacker (sp) and Charlie on bbc have been sporting some very bouffant styles!

CharDeeMacDennis · 11/05/2020 09:44

I did notice the woman reading the local news last night needed her roots done Grin

Lllot5 · 11/05/2020 09:45

Thomas whatshisface him who does the weather. His hair really nearly needs a trim.

Lllot5 · 11/05/2020 09:46

@inwood you type quicker than me! I didn’t even attempt the spelling.

iVampire · 11/05/2020 09:51

(esp as everyone is getting that but hairier)

I think I should clarify that I meant a ‘bit hairier’. Not ‘butt’.
I don’t watch programmes like that, certainly not in the morning

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 11/05/2020 09:52

Maybe they have partners who trim it? I always clip my DH's anyway. Mine on the other hand is just much longer than usual, although I have cut my fringe.

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 11/05/2020 09:57

I’ve notice NS has awfully perfect hair as well 🤔

Rosehip10 · 11/05/2020 09:58

Nicola Sturgeon does her own hair at the moment - has been pic of her using her ipad to get instructions from her stylist!

Haenow · 11/05/2020 10:16

Lots of people I know have got very creative; buying proper hair cutting scissors and good quality hair dye. Have to say, some people have done a good job!

EffOrf · 11/05/2020 10:22

I commented yesterday on Thomas (weathermans) hair as its usually very short.

Its more noticeable on short styles, with longer hair you can just trim the front

tinselvestsparklepants · 11/05/2020 21:15

I've learned to cut my Dh's with a comb and proper scissors. We've both been pleased with the result (and me by how much he trusts me!). It's easier than it looks.
