What one unreasonable thing you can’t get sums up the lockdown?

Out of all the things I can’t go shopping for, the one thing that upset me the most was a stupid canvas drona storage box from Ikea. No idea why that one thing for me made me the most upset. Followed by fence paint!

Obviously lighthearted.

Tweezers. Well, they do sell them in one nearby shop whilst I'm doing food shopping but I keep forgetting to get some! Am using nail clippers and catching the thin skin round my eyes and plucking off too much brow in the process haha.

The old ones rusted because I washed them in the early days of panic washing all my belongings...

Self raising flour

A haircut. Every day sorting my hair gets harder and I look more rancid. I really should just get over it but it's like a constant lockdown knife in the back 🤣

Pedicure

Cheese feet, really

I want a Chinese meal.

There's a restaurant in the neighbouring town which is by FAR my favourite and I really, really, REALLY want a nice dinner from there.

Fresh curry leaves. Dried just aren't the same.

Bulgar Wheat to make a salad.

Manicure. My nails look shit and it's highlighted just how much I love having them done.

I keep forgetting to replace the vegemite, because I'm mostly going to places that don't stock it. And the people in my household who love it aren't usually at home in the week!

Biscuits.

They keep selling out online here and we can’t go out to supermarkets. I miss digestives so much.

Ikea were doing deliveries, how come you didn't do that?

I was going to order some book cases but didn't in the end.

Ocado doesn't sell the kind of processed cheese slices that are perfect for burgers.

@IncrediblySadToo as soon as they closed and switched to deliveries I tried to order it, but it was already out of stock. A lot of other things I wanted from Ikea I couldn’t get, but that one flowery box beat me! I guess they were selling the stock in the warehouses and once it was gone there is no manufacturing to replace the items coming up.

Agree with Ikea. I can’t wait for the day I can go and spend all day, I’ll inspect and touch every item and have breakfast, lunch and dinner there.

Also, a house. Saved up for ages for a house deposit and we’ve been sat in our rental staring at our orange kitchen and degrading Lino without being able to do anything to it. Also, now they are withdrawing all the 95%-90% mortgages too so it’s unlikely we’re going to be able to buy even when things start moving again
