Does anybody have any idea how school buses will work in September?

Presuming social distancing will continue they’re going to need to fit half the numbers of kids on so will need to run double the amount of buses. Will parents be expected to pay double?

No one knows yet. Government haven't made any announcements.

I was thinking exactly this today! DS goes on a college bus so at least it's only college kids on it and not the wider community, but it did make me wonder. I was also reading an article in the Times about how many bus drivers have died.

He could also potentially travel by train but if they are only letting 10% of people on a train at a time, that's not really an option either, no good if he can never get on a train.

I could drive him, but it's 30 mins there and back, twice a day.

If he can carry on his driving lessons and pass his test he could drive himself but I wouldn't be keen on that - I suspect his chances as a young lad of dying in a car accident are greater than dying of covid, to be honest.

(that's 30 mins each way. 15 mins each way would be ok)
