The new vague guidance could be interpreted in many ways

It's quite vague isn't it? Lots of 'if possible, if you can etc' - you can justify doing just about anything of you tried hard enough and 'it isn't possible to stay 2 meters apart' sooo I can do it anyway....etc. But then that's real life I suppose - not everywhere or everything is conducive to social distancing and we need to get on with it.

I actually think lockdown should be lifted so I'm happy that we'll have more freedom to decide and there will be less curtain twitching hopefully but I am concerned that government are giving people enough vague rope so that when it all goes wrong, they'll put all the blame on the public rather than taking responsibility for being vague in the first place....

Yep, very vague. In my opinion deliberately so to avoid the government having to take any responsibility.

It's difficult because we can't keep 2 metres apart on public transport. If they made it clear, then we would have to triple public transport, if not more.

We've had time to plan this out and send clear objectives to employers and we haven't done that, which is disgraceful.

We could have had sector applicable guidance, to protect workers. Upto now it looks like we will be thrown under the bus.

Fuck knows. At least now the govt can say “well we did say to stay alert, so if your dying it’s your own fault”.

I don't think it's that unclear to be honest. Stay alert to the danger of CV while going about your day (or night, in Nell's case). Don't forget about all the stuff you know you're meant to be doing as lockdown is eased.

To be honest though, what is the alternative? There’s no vaccine and you’ll never contain human beings. Short of living in a cardboard box for the next year or so, it is what it is.

Go to the house, shower, then greet partner? Put on some of their clothes if you don't have any there of your own. Put your own clothes either in a bag to take away again or in the washing machine. Not hugely difficult.

Although that graphic is vague, it isn't meant to represent the full details of current guidance. It will probably be in use for a while, and the exact details will be changing during that time.

More details were in the address tonight although lots of things weren't mentioned, apparently more details are to follow tomorrow, though again I expect some things will remain unmentioned. Anything unmentioned I assume is no change, but they should spell it all out for clarity and so that people feel their questions are heard.

IMO everyone needs to clam down. It was an outline PLAN. It will be discussed tomorrow in Parliament and your MP will have chance to question the plan.
I would imagine that the details of can I do this or can I do that will be put on the Government website for clarification of the detail. The PM is not going to go into every little detail of how it effects everybody.
We're in the middle of a pandemic that has cost 1000's of lives, we've been on lockdown for 7 weeks, social distancing, washing hands, not seeing loved ones, kids off school, NHS workers dying, what the hell do people think they should be alert to?

I predict people will "get it wrong" and lockdown will continue. It will be blamed on "the people " and not the ineffective government. Johnson (and most of the rest of the Cabinet) are type of individuals who blames other people for their own fuck ups but make lots of noise about how dynamic they are.
