When do you think uk holiday parks will reopen?

Just that really.

Haven, centre parks etc when will they reopen?

Surely they could open accommodations and the shop but not the entertainment? Or they could open entertainment but only allow a certain amount of people/social distancing?

I wonder how they willl survive winter if they don’t open in the summer?

They have two problems:

a). Whether it is possible to implement adequate social distancing and hygiene measures.
b). Whether they can make enough money to cover their costs, having implemented social distancing and hygiene measures.

even if 'a' is possible, 'b' might not be.

I can't see them opening up the indoor pools and holiday parks like Centre Parcs while schools, pubs and restaurants are still shut. Gyms are apparently high risk and I imagine a large indoor play pool would be too.

Possibly next year. Can’t see it being this year.

Just had my boundless break in June cancelled which I can't say I'm surprised about. I don't reckon they'll be open until the Autumn, earliest. Which will completely miss the peak season - virus has impeccible timing!

Two things I'd be considering:

  1. Depends on whether Uk government limits distance for travelling, as Ireland have
  2. Deep cleaning between rents

I got survey from Centre Parcs this week asking what I’d want to see from them reopening.. questions about food venues being takeaway or socially distanced, the pool being open & how, reduced prices etc!

I think you could open centre parcs on half capacity, takeaways or socially distanced restaurants & things like the tennis courts open.. they’d have to charge significantly less though!
