When will we get to see our families?

Do you FaceTime them? It isn't the same but we take what crumbs we can, don't we.

Me too (specifically, my mum)
I guess we'll have to wait and see what they announce at the end of the week.
But personally I might consider seeing my mum again soon. We are all working from home and following all the rules. No one in the shielding category and no health conditions. Mum's in her 50s. She lives alone and she and DS are really missing each other. Sometimes video calls make them both sad

@FlibbertyGiblets yes we FaceTime. One problem is that my parents live a 4 hour drive away, my in laws live around the corner. It’s bevomung increasingly unbearable.

Totally agree that it's becoming increasingly unbearable. I hit a wall on Friday, had a meltdown, felt I couldn't do it any more - but of course we have no choice.
Sorry you're missing your family too.

I just don’t see a way out. I keep feeling some positivity and then someone mentions a second wave or the fact that social distancing will be in place for the foreseeable future and it makes me want to break down.

Nothing helpful to say really OP but just wanted to say I'm with you - it is utterly heartbreaking. Video calls can make it more difficult for me personally.
