If you're "vulnerable" what do you think will happen re work?

So, either in the shielded group or the vulnerable groups. You've been advised to stay at home for 12 weeks. Many employers have been decent about this and people are wfh or not at all. Where I work, anyone in these groups and those who have children at home have been told to do what they can from home but they can't really do their full job, which is fine, for now, no one has a heavy workload and colleagues are happy to do what's needed.

But what happens at the end of the 12 weeks, or when restrictions are lifted? Presumably those people will still have very grave concerns about returning to work even if it is decreed that they should?

Surely employers can't be expected to pay them, or to manage without them, or to keep their jobs open indefinitely?

It's an awful situation. I'd expect some at least to be signed off sick with anxiety, but again that can't go on forever, most sickness policies would manage those people out if there was no prospect of recovery.

Very worrying times.
